REISTERSTOWN, Md. - Stevenson Women's Hockey rounded out their series with Arcadia this afternoon at the Reisterstown Sportsplex. All three goals of the game were scored in the second period, and the two belonging to Arcadia led them to their 2-1 victory.
After a scoreless first period, Arcadia scored just five minutes into the second on the power-play. Upon returning to even strength, graduate student Gracie Payne scored from the blue line after thwarting an Arcadia breakout attempt. The goal was her first of the season.
The Knights would score once more before the period ended to take the final lead of the game.
Offensively, sophomore Emma DeMan led the Mustangs with nine overall shots and four shots on goal. She also won a game-high 11 draws in the circle, followed by junior Meghan Croyle and graduate student Katie May with six wins apiece.
Senior Olivia DeGuire had another busy day between the pipes, coming up with 49 saves to add to yesterday's 47.
The loss puts the Mustangs at 2-6 on the season and 2-4 in the MAC. Stevenson returns to conference play with a home series against Wilkes University, scheduled for Friday and Saturday, December 6th and 7th at the Reisterstown Sportsplex.
