REISTERSTOWN, Md. - Stevenson Women's Hockey hosted Arcadia University tonight in a MAC contest. After nearly 52 scoreless minutes, Arcadia would capitalize on a power-play opportunity to give them a 1-0 victory.
Senior netminder Olivia DeGuire was kept busy all game, finishing the first period with 12 stops. In the second, she posted another 19 saves before adding 16 in the third for a total of 47 on the night.
In front of DeGuire, the Mustang defense held strong. Maddie Silverman, Abby Smith, Meghan Croyle, and Emma DeMan each contributed two blocks.
DeMan won a game-high 12 draws in the circle. Graduate student Katie May contributed nine face-off victories as well.
Stevenson totaled 15 shots on goal, led by senior Megan Swick with four and junior Maggie Dean with three.
The loss puts the Mustangs at 2-5 on the season and 2-3 in the MAC. They look to split the series with Arcadia tomorrow at 3 p.m.Â
