Thompson achieves 2,000 career assists as Women's Volleyball takes on Johns Hopkins

OWINGS MILLS, Md – Stevenson battled with third-ranked Johns Hopkins on Thursday night before the Blue Jays (24-2) defeated the Mustangs (12-13) 3-0 in non-conference women's volleyball action.
 
Set scores were 25-9, 25-18 and 25-21.
 
Senior setter Makala Thompson surpassed the 2,000 assist mark in her career, finishing with 11 on the night. She is currently fourth all-time in school history in assists.
 
Rachel Lenz had eight kills, with Zakara Masibo netting six and Giuila Viglietta getting five. Viglietta also had two aces in the match.
 
At the net, Masibo had two blocks.
 
Defensively, Nicolette Fuglestad had nine digs, with Viglietta getting five.
 
Stevenson has the weekend off, before taking on Widener on Wednesday night, in a match that will decide the fourth and final MAC Commonwealth playoff spot.
