OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Stevenson Women's Soccer hosted York (Pa.) this evening in their final home matchup of the regular season. The Spartans came out strong, and an early goal would jumpstart their offense and lead them to a 5-0 win.
The Spartans got on the board within three minutes of kickoff and added two more goals before the half expired. Their momentum was carried into the second half, where they scored twice more.
In net, sophomore Alison Halstead made one stop before first year Ava Patterson entered in relief. Patterson ended the match with seven saves.
Stevenson registered two shots on goal, supplied by sophomore Brooke Knabe and graduate student Kelly Schultz.
The Mustangs fall to 4-9-4 overall and 2-3-1 in MAC Commonwealth play. They look to earn a final Commonwealth win on Saturday at Alvernia. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. in Reading.
