GRANTHAM, Pa. – Stevenson women's soccer took the field and took the challenge, as they played fifth-ranked Messiah University on the road Saturday afternoon.
Despite an uneventful first half facing an illustrious Falcons offense,
Alison Halstead totaled five saves in the first half. The sophomore goalkeeper totaled nine saves on the afternoon. Following two goals by the Falcons,
Kamille Purcell made a shot attempt in the first half.
The third and final goal from the Falcons arrived in the second half, as Halstead totaled four more saves against a relenting offense, bringing the final score to 3-0.
Halstead now totals 72 total saves on the season despite the loss, while Purcell's lone shot brings her to a career 60 total.
The Mustangs, now look to complete the rest of their conference schedule, as they first take on the York College of Pennsylvania Spartans on Wednesday, Oct. 30 6 p.m.
