READING, Pa. – The Stevenson University men's basketball team took a narrow defeat to Albright on Saturday afternoon, 76-74 in a MAC Commonwealth Conference on the road.
The Mustangs (7-8, 1-3 MAC Commonwealth) trailed by two with six seconds left, but, a last-second three-pointer didn't fall.
Rasheed Cooley had 19 points for Stevenson, while
Ronald Ayers had 14 and
Cameron Smith with 13.
Kole Beaman netted ten off the bench, as Stevenson stayed with Albright (9-6, 2-2 MAC Commonwealth) in the second half. The Mustangs rallied from seven down at one point but did not take the lead.
Smith had nine rebounds while
Myles Jackson and
Bryson Whitley each had three assists.
The Lions were led by 17 points from Qadir Mitchell and 16 points from Hasson Massenburg.
Stevenson hosts Hood on Wednesday evening.
