REISTERSTOWN, Md. - Stevenson Women's Ice Hockey hosted No. 10 Utica University this afternoon on home ice. The Pioneers would come away with a 9-0 win.
Sophomore Maggie Sehnert posted a career-high 60 saves between the pipes, stopping 24 shots in the first period alone. She leads the Mustangs with 266 saves so far this season in seven games played.
Stevenson's offense was led by senior Franki Cappello with four shots, followed by junior Maddie Silverman with three and first years Abby Smith and Emma DeMan with two apiece.
DeMan would also win a team-high nine draws. Senior Cassie Campbell trailed with eight face-off victories.
In front of Sehnert, classmate Kendall Girnt logged a career-high five blocks. Her 25 blocks this season lead the Mustangs and rank fourth in the UCHC.
The Mustangs are back at the Reisterstown Sportsplex again tomorrow at 3 p.m. to round out their series with Utica.
