OWINGS MILLS, Md.— The Stevenson women's soccer team dropped to Salisbury 0-3 in Mustang Stadium on Wednesday evening. During the match up, women's soccer alumn, Keegan Caffrey, made her return home to Stevenson as an Assistant Coach for Salisbury.
Salisbury did not hesitate to go get on the board in the contest, as the Seasgulls put away their first goal 41 seconds in. The Mustangs held the Seagulls back for the remainder of the first half trailing 0-1 at the half.
In the second half, the Seagulls opened scoring early yet again with a goal in the 48
th minute. Salisbury then confirmed the win with a third goal in the 60
th minute to finalize a 3-0 victory over Stevenson.
Samantha Wilson put up the lone shot on goal for the Mustangs.
Courtney Wysokowski made seven saves in net after facing 25 shots.
The Mustangs remain in Owings Mills as the team opens MAC Commonwealth play on Saturday against Alvernia. The team will be dedicating the game to breaking the mental health stigma. Game time is set for 1 p.m. on Owings Mills East.
