FREDRICKBURG, Va. – The Stevenson men's soccer squad fell 0-3 to No. 2 Mary Washington on Wednesday evening.
The Mustang's defense played a hard first half keeping Mary Washington scoreless going into halftime. In the second half, Mary Washington put their first goal away in the 54
th minute, and then netted their second about 10 minutes later. The Eagles secured their 3-0 win with a final goal in the 67
th minute to walk away with the shutout victory over the Mustangs.
Samuel Diaz had the lone shot on goal for the Mustangs.
Nolen Olson-Warwick put up a strong 16 saves in goal off 30 shots.
The Mustangs will return home to face the Golden Wolves of Alvernia University to open MAC Commonwealth play on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
