LYNCHBURG, Va. - Stevenson Field Hockey traveled to the University of Lynchburg this afternoon to face the Hornets, currently ranked 17th.
Lynchburg would score once in the first quarter, once in the third, and twice in the fourth in their 4-0 win.
Stevenson's two shots on goal came from sophomore Brenna Benson and senior Emma Gladstein in the second and third quarters, respectively.
Defensively, senior Eve Vickery made five saves to bring her season total up to 21. In front of Vickery, first year Sarah Bisson and sophomore Emilie Rankin made one defensive save each.
The Mustangs sit at 6-3 overall heading into their next contest at Owings Mills East against the University of Mary Washington, set for Saturday, September 30th at 1 PM. Stevenson will then face No. 3 Johns Hopkins on Wednesday, October 4th before hosting their conference opener against Albright on October 7th at noon.
