Women's Volleyball runs win streak to five with sweep at Arcadia Quad

GLENSIDE, Pa. – Make it five straight for the Stevenson University women's volleyball team as the Mustangs (8-3) finished the Arcadia University Quad with two wins over Kean and host Arcadia on Saturday.
 
In the first match of the day, Stevenson bested Kean 3-0 (25-21, 25-14 and 25-18), while needing four sets to take care of Arcadia 3-1 (25-17, 20-25, 25-10, 25-16).
 
Stevenson hit very well in the opening match against the Cougars (4-6), going 36-9-87 (.310).
 
Rileigh Kimball had 12 kills (match-high) with Darian Dildy getting eight. Dildy and Haley Hoover had three blocks each with Alexandra Fisher getting two.
 
Makala Thompson had 18 assists, followed by Samantha Simmers with 11.
 
Defensively, Kayla Vaeth had ten digs.
 
Stevenson hit .273 in the match with Arcadia, but, had a 16-0-41 performance in the fourth set of the nightcap (.390) against the Knights (1-7).
 
Kimball again led the way with 12 kills, with Dildy getting nine.
 
Thompson had three aces in the match.
 
Hoover had an outstanding match at the net, as she posted nine blocks with Kylie DesLauriers getting five.
 
Thompson finished the Arcadia match with 21 assists, with Simmers getting ten. Simmers had 16 digs in the nightcap, with Vaeth getting 15.
 
Stevenson returns home on Wednesday, hosting Albright in its MAC Commonwealth opener at 7 p.m.
