ANNVILLE, Pa. – Stevenson was swept by Lebanon Valley in a MAC Commonwealth softball doubleheader on Friday, dropping the two contests by scores of 4-2 and 8-0 in six innings. The Mustangs fall to 13-10 and 5-3 in the Commonwealth.
In game one, Stevenson trailed 3-0 early before getting back within one at 3-2 in the fourth as Marissa Heuer singled to right scoring Jordan Fangman. Kat Perea would then single to left scoring Heuer.
Lebanon Valley would score a run in the fifth for the final 4-2 margin. Maddie Bosley, Megan Hamp and Kat Perea would each collect two hits in the opener.
Heuer struck out one and walked one in six innings of work.
In game two, the Mustangs were held to just three hits, with Perea, Fangman and Elizabeth Russo hitting safely.
Jillian Haines took the loss, falling to 3-3. She struck out two in four innings of work.
Stevenson welcomes nationally-ranked Salisbury to Owings Mills East on Wednesday.
