READING, Pa. – Stevenson women's lacrosse (4-7, 2-0) had a late-game comeback, finishing 9-6 against the Albright College Lions (8-4, 2-1) in Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) play on Wednesday evening.

Junior midfield Kara Yarusso scored six goals on six shots, and added four draw controls and three ground balls. Sophomore midfield Isabelle VanEmburgh assisted in lifting the Mustangs with two goals. Senior goalie Sophie Shucosky added four saves, facing six goals.

FIRST QUARTER
The Lions scored early, getting on the board first with a goal less than two minutes into play. The Mustangs quickly tied  it up following Shucosky's first save of the evening and an off attempt from VanEmburgh. Quickly gaining on offense, the Mustangs attempted again but were denied by the Lions. About a minute later, the Mustangs allowed two goals from the Lions, bringing the score to 3-1 for the opposition. The Mustangs scored once more before the end of the first quarter from senior attack/midfield Erin Olenchalk, bringing the game to 3-2.

SECOND QUARTER
The Mustangs quickly tied the game in the second period thanks to junior attack Bailey Krahl. Both teams scored only once more in the second quarter, and the score at the half was a draw at 4-4.

THIRD QUARTER
Yarusso wasted no time breaking the tie, scoring within the first seven seconds of the half. Following a pair of denied attempts, the Mustangs increased the score to 6-4 with 6:36 remaining with VanEmburgh's  second goal of the evening. The Lions saw one more attempt off a free position, but remained trailing at 6-5.
