OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Stevenson women's lacrosse (5-8, 3-1) bounced back in home play, as they took the lead against the Widener Pride (9-5, 4-1), finishing with a final 14-9 decision following a weather delay.

Kara Yarusso hit her 100
th career point and scored five goals for the Mustangs. Senior goalkeeper
Sophie Shucosky hit her 100
th save this season as well as surpassed goalie Leanne Bittner's ('15) record in career saves.
FIRST QUARTER
The Pride were the first to get on the board as they scored with 8:13 on the clock. The Mustangs tied it up minutes later with a goal from sophomore attack/midfield
Kellyann Coccia. Yarusso and junior attack
Bailey Krahl quickly followed with goals, adding two more to bring the score to 3-1 with 4:35 remaining in the quarter. Yarusso's goal followed a free position attempt, marking her 100
th career point. Krahl and Yarusso netted goals again, bringing the score to 5-1 in the first period.
SECOND QUARTER
The second quarter was split before the weather delay. Before it, the Mustangs added three goals while the Pride added one, when lightning held up the game at 8-2. When play resumed after the delay, Yarusso and sophomore midfield Isabelle VamEmburgh each added one before Yarusso secured a goal once more with 1:05 remaining. The score was 11-3 going into the abbreviated halftime, in favor of the Mustangs.
THIRD QUARTER
The Pride opened the quarter with a goal just over two minutes into play. Coccia answered minutes later, bringing the score to 12-4. VanEmburgh scored once more before allowing the Pride two goals. First year attack/midfield
Marisa Massimini found the last opportunity in the third, bringing the score to 14-7 with 4:52 remaining.
FOURTH QUARTER
In a scoreless period for the Mustangs, the Pride found two more opportunities. Defensively, Shucosky made four saves while the Mustangs totaled three shots in the first half of the period. The Mustangs concluded the game on top 14-9 over the Pride.
