Box Score Hilton Head Island, S.C. - The Stevenson men's tennis team moved to 2-0 during spring break after taking down Maryville College (TN) by a 7-2 score. 

Larry Johnson III and JJ Bonta kicked off the match with an 8-5 win over their No. 1 doubles opponents - giving the pair two doubles victories on the year. Nathan Davidson and Sathwik Madasi (No. 3) picked up the other doubles victory for Stevenson in a tiebreak, 8-7 (7-4). 

Johnson overcame a one-set deficit to win his No. 1 singles match by a 2-6, 6-4, 11-9 score - giving him three wins on the year. Bonta won his match in a third-set tiebreak, 6-3, 2-6, 10-1, giving him two singles victories this season. 

Madasi won his No. 3 match in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4, for his second-straight win. Simeon Smith downed his No. 4 opponent by an 8-6 score, while Chad Smialek cruised to an 8-3 win in No. 5.

The Mustangs (3-2) will conclude their slate of spring break matches on Thursday, March 16 when they take on Shepherd University (W.V.) at 9 a.m. and Oswego State (N.Y.) at 2 p.m.
