Box Score Hilton Head Island, S.C. - The Stevenson men's tennis team opened up its spring break with a 9-0 win over Western Connecticut State. 

Larry Johnson III and JJ Bonta picked up their first win of the year as a duo in No. 1 doubles, 8-3. Simeon Smith and Sathwik Madasi took down their No. 2 opponents by an 8-4 score, while Chad Smialek and Nathan Davidson cruised to an 8-1 win in No. 3. 

Johnson earned his second singles victory of the season in his No. 1 matchup, 6-0, 6-3. Bonta notched his first singles win on the year in No. 2 by a 6-3, 6-2 score. 

Both Madasi and Smith won their respective No. 3 and 4 matches by the same 6-0, 6-2 score. Smith now has three victories on the year.

Smialek won his No. 5 match in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1, while Davidson took down his No. 6 opponent, 6-0, 6-3. 

The Mustangs (2-2) continue their spring break slate of matches on Wednesday, March 15, when they take on Maryville College (TN). First serve is set for 6 p.m.
