Hayden Schindler clocked a personal-best time of 4:31.42, which gave him first place overall in the mile at the River Hawk Friday Night Showdown, hosted by Susquehanna. Schindler's performance in the mile is the 15th best in the Middle Atlantic Conference thus far.
The 4x400 relay team of
Jai Raccioppi,
Jubelo Oyeniran,
Alexander Reimert and
Malik Hamilton won the event with a season-best time of 3:38.60 – 8.5 seconds better than second-place Susquehanna.
Cameron Summers, Raccioppi,
Christian Eldridge and Oyeniran would also take second place in the 4x200 with a conference-best time of 1:33.63.
Summers continued his impressive season with a 200 time of 22.77, which gave him second in the event. Summers still has the best performance in the conference and Mid-Atlantic region (22.10) thus far. Raccioppi would take sixth in the event (23.44), while
Fabrice Saint Hillien placed eighth with a personal-best 23.71.
Saint Hillien would also run a PR in the 400 with a time of 52.60, which gave him third overall.
Malik Hamilton took seventh in the event with a 53.11.
Nathan Williams turned in another elite performance in the weight throw with a top toss of 18.02m - giving him second place in the event. Williams' school record throw of 18.14m this season is currently second best in the conference, region and 13th best in Division III. Williams would also place second in the shot put with a top throw of 14.51m. Williams' school record throw of 15.62, which was set at last week's NYU DIII Invitational, is third in the conference and fourth in the region thus far.
Raccioppi set a personal best in the 60m finals with a time of 7.15, giving him fifth overall in the event. Raccioppi's performance is currently fourth in the conference and tied for 15th in the region.
Johnathan Womack clocked a solid time of 2:03.76 to take fourth in the 800. Former Mustang standout and current assistant coach, Iddriss Iddriss, won the event unattached with a time of 1:58.56.
Spencer Cole clocked personal best times in both the 800 (2:12.82) and mile (4:40.51) for the Mustangs, while
Taylor Farnsworth ran 9:41.30 in the 3000 to take seventh overall.
Conner Hall scored a personal best in the high jump with a top height of 1.76m - earning him a spot at the conference championship.
Khari Stewart jumped a personal-best 1.66m in the event. Stewart would also place seventh in the triple jump with a hop, skip and jump of 11.98m.
Dylan Babler placed eighth in the event (11.67m).
Jay Hyman picked up seventh place in the pole vault with a top height of 3.66m.
Stevenson finished fourth overall out of nine schools in the team standings with 90 points. Host Susquehanna won the meet with 164.5 points.
This meet was Stevenson's final tune-up before competing in the two-day MAC Indoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Alvernia, which begin on Friday, Feb. 24.
