Widener opened an early 5-0 lead as the Mustangs turned the ball over twice before graduate student guard

McKale Williams three, Holton sank a layup buzzer-beater and a foul shot to tie the game at 38 all going to the locker room.

Second Half
To start the second period, Williams picked up a rebound and laid it in for the first bucket of the half. Arrington notched back-to-back layups to give the Mustangs a six-point advantage; the Pride quickly erased that lead as Stevenson was called for several fouls. With nine minutes remaining, Widener called a timeout as the Mustangs clung to a one-point advantage, 58-57. However, the Pride went on a hot streak, going up 74-64 with 2:36 left, and the Mustangs were unable to overcome the deficit.

Following the loss, the Mustangs fall to 11-10 (5-7 MACC) and will next host the York College Spartans on Wednesday, Feb. 8 with a 6 p.m. tipoff. The Pride improve to 13-7 (7-4 MACC) and will next host the Eastern University Eagles on Saturday, Feb. 4 at 3 p.m.
