First Half
Both York College and Stevenson traded misses early until the 17:35 minute mark, when sophomore forward
Nate Arrington laid in the first points of the game. York committed three fouls in a row as junior guard
Cameron Sapienza sunk two free throws to take the lead for the home team. Following a dunk by sophomore forward
Cameron Smith, assisted by junior guard
Ethan Jones, York recaptured the lead 10-8. After a four-minute scoreless stretch, first year guard
Myles Jackson stole the ball and passed it to Smith for another slam dunk. York's Jackson Mascari hit a three-pointer and forced the Mustangs to call a timeout, down by nine. Stevenson went to the locker room trailing, 28-24.
Second Half
Smith was fouled going for his third dunk of the game and hit one of his free throws to open the second half. Just two minutes in, York sank back-to-back threes to take a 36-29 lead. The Spartans went on a 13-0 run before Smith hit a three pointer before the Mustangs called a timeout. Senior guard
Davon Jones was called for a flop foul with seven minutes remaining as the Spartans increased their lead. Stevenson fought back in the final minutes but fell 68-55.

Following the loss, the Mustangs fall to 11-11 (5-7 MAC) as the playoffs loom. Stevenson next travels to Albright College this weekend on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 3 p.m. The Spartans improve to 13-10 (7-7 MAC) and are next in action on Tuesday, Feb. 14 as they host Hood College at 6 p.m.
