MORRISVILLE, N.Y. - Stevenson Women's Ice Hockey traveled to SUNY Morrisville this afternoon for game one of their three-game, non-conference trip to New York. Despite a scoreless first period, Morrisville would start a scoring spree in the second that would give them a 5-0 win.
The Mustangs totaled 17 shots, led by sophomore Meghan Croyle with four. She tops the Mustangs with 20 shots this season. Sophomore Maggie Dean and seniors Katelyn Reid and Emily Brightbill each contributed two shots.
Senior Cassie Campbell won a team-high seven draws in the circle while Dean trailed with six. First year Emma DeMan tallied five wins.
Junior Olivia DeGuire made 33 saves in net, including 15 in the second period. In front of DeGuire, senior Hannah Labbe logged a team-high two blocks.
Stevenson looks to get back in the win column later this week with their two-game series at SUNY Canton. Puck drop is set for 3 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
