PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Stevenson Women's Hockey traveled to Chatham University for a UCHC matchup this evening. A second period goal from the hosts would prove to be sufficient as the game ended 1-0.
Sophomore netminder Mallory Hunt made 34 saves, including a game-high 18 in the third period.Â
In front of Hunt, classmate Jayne DeBejian led the Mustangs with five blocks, followed by senior Gracie Payne with three.Â
In the circle, senior Cassie Campbell won a team-high eight face-offs. First year Emma DeMan trailed with seven draws.
Offensively, DeMan led the charge with four shots while Campbell added three. First years Lola Russell and Carleigh Barwick as well as seniors Hannah Labbe and Katelyn Reid each tallied two shots.
The Mustangs are back in action tomorrow as they look to even the series with Chatham. Puck drop is set for 3 p.m. at the Hunt Armory.
