OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Stevenson men's soccer team blanked Hood 3-0 while celebrating Senior Day and finishing out regular season play.
The Mustangs opened scoring with a goal in the 14th minute with a goal from
Dean Martin off an assist from
Bryant Seivers.
Gianfranco Vitella then put the Mustangs up 2-0 with a goal in the 38th minute off ball from
Joe Nicholson heading into the half. In the second half,
Sebastian Boos netted a second goal off a pass from
Adam White to secure a 3-0 win for the Mustangs.
Vitella, Martin, and Boos notched two-point games on the afternoon with a goal each. Seivers, Nicholson, and White each posted one-point from assists. Stevenson outs hot Hood 17-7, 11-4 on net. Vitella led the shots on goal column with three, as Martin followed with two.
Nolen Olson-Warwick made four saves in goal for the shutout win.
Ryan Peterson and
Tanner DaSilva each also made appearances in goal for the win.
The Mustangs will prepare to travel to No. 1 Messiah University for MAC Commonwealth post-season action on Wednesday night at 6 p.m.
