READING, Pa. – The Stevenson University women's volleyball team clinched a spot in the upcoming MAC Commonwealth playoffs on Tuesday night, blanking Alvernia 3-0.
Set scores were 25-14, 25-21 and 25-20.
Stevenson finished the match hitting .216, including a 14-4-29 (.345) clip to start the three-setter.
Rileigh Kimball had a team-best nine kills, while
Darian Dildy netted eight and
Kylie DesLauriers adding in seven.
Makala Thompson dished out 18 assists, with
Samantha Simmers collecting 17.
Defensively, Hailey Hoover, Kimball and Dildy each had three blocks, with
Kayla Vaeth getting 16 digs.
With the win, Stevenson is 19-6 overall and 5-1 in the Commonwealth. The Mustangs – who have one MAC Commonwealth match remaining at Hood next week – will host a match on Wednesday, November 8 in the Commonwealth semifinals.
