ADRIAN, MI – The Stevenson men's ice hockey team (5-8-0) fell to third-ranked Adrian by a score of 1-4 Wednesday evening at Arrington Ice Arena.
Adrian struck first with a goal at 2:09 in the first period from Hunter Wendt with assists from Terry Ryder and Ty Enns. Less than two minutes later, the Bulldogs increased their lead to two with a goal from Bradley Somers at the 3:44 mark of the opening frame. Stevenson outshot Adrian 8-3 over the course of the next 12 minutes before
John Musella deposited a goal to cut the Bulldog lead in half.
Jake Roberts and
Malcolm Palmer added assists to the Musella goal at 15:48.
Stevenson put 10 shots on goal in the second period but unable to convert the scoring chances while Adrian sent 18 on net but all were stopped by
Ryan Kenny.
Adrian broke the game's 37-minute scoring drought at 13:32 in the third period with a power play goal from Ty Enns to increase the Bulldog lead to 3-1. On the power play and time winding down the Mustangs emptied the net for an extra attacker but Adrian sent home one final goal off the stick of Austin Clyne, setting the 4-1 final score.
Numbers and Notes
- John Musella added the lone goal for Stevenson, his third of the season while also winning 10 faceoffs.

- Stevenson remains on the road to face King's (Pa.) on Friday and Saturday in UCHC and MAC play. Both games are set to start at 6pm.
