Scouting Stevenson 

  • Stevenson is off to its first 4-0 start since the 2016 season where it finished 9-2 and made the program’s first NCAA Tournament appearance. 
  • The Mustangs held Widener scoreless in the second half to seal a 30-14 victory. It was the third straigh game Stevenson held its opponent scoreless in the second half.
  • Senior QB Ryan Sedgwick became the program’s all-time leading passer  following a 221 yard performance through the air last week. He know holds the record with 7,268 yards, previously held by Dan Williams with 7,139.
  • Sedgwick rushed for two scores against Widener and added one through the air to Steven Smothers.
  • Maurice Hammond racked up 67 yards rushing and 13 receiving with one rushing touchdown to lead the ground attack against Widener.
  • Corey Jones-Pentz sealed the victory with his first-career interception and the lone takeaway for the Stevenson defense.
  • Head coach Ed Hottle, now in his 12th season, moved to 66-46 all-time at Stevenson with the victory.
  • Stevenson is ranked #25 in this week's AFCA Coaches' poll and is receiving votes in the D3Football.com Top-25 for Week 4.

Scouting Delaware Valley

  • Delaware Valley allowed only 62 total yards to Misericordia while the offense drove for a total of 460 yards.
  • The Aggies carry a 38-game conference win-streak to the matchup. Their last loss to a MAC opponent was to Stevenson (19-0, October 22, 2016).
  • Michael Nobile, a two-time All-American defensive end, picked up his 39.5 sack of his career breaking the previously record held for 10 years by Kyle Gesswein of 39.
  • The Aggies are second in the nation in total defense with 140 yards per game allowed, and tied third in points against with just 20 surrendered in four games (5.0 avg.).
  • DelVal has posted 103 points through four games (25.8 avg.) and continues to show a balanced attack that posts 152.8 yards per game rushing and 151.3 yards per game passing.
  • Eighth-year head coach Duke Greco, is the program's all-time winningest coach with an astounding record of 74-12 overall and an .860 win-percentage. Greco, a 2003 graduate of DelVal, and his staff are 67-7 in regular season games and 57-5 against MAC opponents.
  • The Aggies are ranked #10 in this week's AFCA coaches' poll and #15 in the D3Football.com Top-25 for Week 4.
Stevenson football remains undefeated on the season as they walked away with a 19-0 victory against Delaware Valley on Saturday afternoon at Mustang Stadium in Owings Mills.

  • Delaware Valey leads the series 9-1, winning the last four matchups.
  • Delaware Valley has won the last four meetings in the all-time series for a 9-1 edge. 
  • The two teams first met in 2011, with the lone Stevenson victory coming in 2016 as a 19-0 shutout on Homecoming.
