Larry Johnson III and
Chad Smialek earned their first win as a duo in No. 1 doubles, winning their match 8-1.
Lukas Sanidas and
Simeon Smith cruised to an 8-2 win in No. 2, while
Sathwik Madasi and
Warren Garrett won their No. 3 match by the same score.
Johnson won his first singles match of the season in No. 1 via a 6-0, 6-0 shutout. Sanidas picked up his first win in No. 2 singles this season in a 6-1, 6-0 triumph.
Niko Bifsas won his No. 3 match by a 6-0, 6-1 score - giving him his first victory on the year.
Simeon Smith improved to 2-0 on the year after downing his opponent in straight sets in No. 4, 6-0, 6-2.Â
Smialek won his No. 5 match by 6-0, 6-1 margin, while
Nathan Davidson won in No. 6, 6-1, 6-0.
The Mustangs (1-1) compete next in the three-day ITA Regional Championships, hosted by Mary Washington, starting on Friday, September 30.Â
