Sixth Sense: #15 Mustangs Extend Winning Streak in Drubbing of LVC

Box Score

OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- 15th-ranked Stevenson men's lacrosse rolled its winning streak to six games after cruising past Lebanon Valley with a 26-8 victory on Wednesday night at Mustang Stadium.

Stevenson (10-4, 5-0) won the first 17 faceoffs of the night and used an 11-goal run into the second quarter to build a comfortable lead in a season-high scoring output. Shane Ford posted his 100th career point in the victory and Marc Poust climbed into sole possession of third place on the Mustang all-time saves list. Henry Jones entered the game in the second half, making three saves over 16 minutes in an emotional debut.

Stevenson finished the night winning 32-of-38 faceoffs, paced by a 15-of-16 effort at the dot from Daniel Fisher. Nolan Enneguess recorded 14 more wins at the X for Stevenson, along with wins for Ethan Dunnock and Garrett Goudreau

Ford posted seven points on four goals and three assists with Josh Brannan and Ryan Coleman adding four goals for the Mustangs. Jack Scaliti notched three markers with Griffin Gast and Nick Kendall registering two goals for a balanced Mustang lineup. Lebanon Valley (7-7, 2-3) responded after each of the initial two goals in the first before the Mustangs took control.

Stevenson reeled off five consecutive goals to build a lead in the opening quarter following a back and forth start, utilizing five different goal scorers in the early surge. Ford, Lucas Ingley, Coleman, Scaliti and Brannan all registered unassisted tallies, lifting the Mustangs ahead 7-2. After Poust denied a quick look, Stevenson worked it down the field with Andrew Searing feeding Gast at 1:53.

The Mustangs continued the scoring run after owning the faceoff dot with a pair of goals over the final 1:53 of the stanza.

Stevenson opened the second with a marker just six seconds in with Nolan Enneguess dumping a pass left to Brannan for a 10-2 advantage. From there, Ford pushed the Mustangs in front 11-2 with an unassisted marker at 14:14 before finding the back of the net for a third time at 13:24.

Poust ranged to his right for a strong save at 10:22 and the Mustangs build their lead with a goal from Ford at the 9:43 mark, expanding the advantage to 13-2. LVC ultimately halted the 11-goal run for Stevenson with Evan Federowicz cashing in on a great feed. Ahead 13-4 at the half, Ford collected the 100th point of his Stevenson career with a feed to Brannan as Stevenson pushed its advantage to 16-4.

Poust stayed square to a quality look from LVC, securing his sixth stop of the night and pushing him into sole possession of third on the program's all-time saves list.

Stevenson began working in all parts of its lineup, extending the lead to 26-8 with a stretch that included Brady Halloran's first collegiate marker.

Trey Ralston, Federowicz and Jake Bollinger scored two goals each for the visiting Dutchmen.
