STEVENSON, Md. - The Stevenson men's tennis team dropped its first MAC Commonwealth match of the season in a 6-3 home loss to Lebanon Valley (10-5, 3-0 MACC).
Senior Larry Johnson III and junior JJ Bonta dropped their No. 1 doubles match in hearbreaking fashion, 8-7 (8-6). Senior Lukas Sanidas and junior Ben Porto picked up an 8-6 win in No. 2.
Junior Sathwik Madasi and freshman Simeon Smith dropped a competitive match in No. 3, 8-6.
Porto, Johnson III and Sanidas each dropped their singles matches in straight sets.
Bonta and freshman Niko Bifsas picked up the lone singles wins for the Mustangs (5-9, 2-1 MACC) by scores of 1-6, 6-4, 10-4 and 6-2, 7-5, respectively. Bonta has won five out of his last six matches.
Stevenson will look to get back in the win column in a conference match at Messiah on Wednesday, April 13 at 3:30 p.m.
