ORLANDO, FL - The Stevenson men's tennis team dropped its spring break opener to No. 39 Carthage (Wisc.) by a 9-0 score.

Senior Larry Johnson III and junior JJ Bonta dropped their No. 1 doubles match by an 8-3 margin, while freshman Simeon Smith and sophomore Sathwik Madasi fell in No. 3, 8-1. 

In singles play, senior Lukas Sanidas fell in No. 2 by a 6-2, 6-2 score. Bonta fell in No. 3, 6-1, 6-2. 

Smith picked up two games in his 6-2, 6-0 defeat in No. 5. 

The Mustangs (2-3) continue spring break play on Tuesday with matches against Wisconsin-La Crosse at 9:30 a.m. and Macalester (Minn.) at 1:30 p.m.
