Box Score RYE, N.Y. -- Stevenson men's hockey junior goalie Ryan Kenny became the program's all-time saves leader in a 2-0 shutout road win against Manhattanville on Saturday afternoon.
Stevenson (13-5-1, 9-3) capped an unbeaten week and avenged an earlier loss against Manhattanville (8-9-3) in a key UCHC contest. It was fitting that Kenny earned a shutout in the process of setting the program's all-time saves mark, previously 1436 held by Jacob Caffrey.
Kenny helped keep the Mustangs in the game before the offense took over with a goal late in the second from Frank Vitucci and an insurance marker from Chad Watt in the third sealed the victory.
- Despite multiple man advantages for each squad, neither side could light the lamp in the opening period.
- Vitucci and Seth Bergeron had scoring looks about midway through the period, while Kenny kept the game scoreless with his efforts between the pipes.
