REISTERSTOWN, Md. -- The Stevenson women's ice hockey team (5-5, 3-3 UCHC) fell to Wilkes (3-6-1, 3-3-1) 2-4 Saturday evening at the Reisterstown Sportsplex.
The Mustangs held the shot advantage in the opening period by a margin of 10-6. However, the Colonels would be the first to find the back of the net. Emma Bresett deposited the game's first goal at 8:57. Less than three minutes later, Sarah Uhall added a second goal for Wilkes at 11:42. Kiera Lacombe added assists on each goal.
Stevenson responded in the second period with a strong offensive effort. Kately Reid cut the deficit in half for the Mustangs at 5:52 in the second period.
Maggie Dean added the assist on the goal. The Mustangs tied the game at two a-piece, just over two minutes later when
Cassie Campbell sent a puck past the Colonels goalie's blocker. Hanna Labbe and
Natasha Neelon added assists on the game-tying goal.
However, the lead was short lived as Wilkes added a goal at 10:56 off the stick of Abigail Barcless, assisted by Emma Bresset. The Colonels added one more goal in the second period at 14:53 off the stick of Julie Patterson with assists from Gianna Marzi and Abigail Barcless.
The Mustangs held the shot advantage in the third period, ripping 13 on net while Wilkes added seven. Substituted goalie
Ainsley King stopped all seven shots she faced in the third period.

- Stevenson enjoys a long break before returning to action on January 6 to face Nazareth at 7pm in Rochester, N.Y.
