CORTLAND, N.Y. -- The Stevenson women's ice hockey team (2-1-0) suffered its first loss of the young 2022-23 season to No. 14 SUNY Cortland (1-0-0) by a score of 0-7.
Cortland jumped on the board early with a power play goal Kait Bourgeois at 3:54 in the first period. Just two minutes later, Bourgeois talied her second mark of the game to give the Red Dragons a 0-2 lead.
The Mustangs earned its first power play opportunity of the game 1t the 14:17 mark in the opening period, ripping four shots on the opportunity. However, Cortland's netminder stopped all of the Stevenson attempts.

Olivia DeGuire notched 21 saves in the second period alone. In a three-minute span, DeGuire totaled eight saves to keep the Cortland margin at two. However, Cortland deposited its lone goal of the second period at the 19:09 mark off the stick of Emily Kromer.
In the third period, the Red Dragons notch four goals. Two goals came off the stick of Jillian Hlasnick at 7:18 and 12:59 while Meggan Cramer deposited a goal at 9:09 and Nicole Tulowiecki sent one home at 14:01.
