Owings Mills, Md. - The Stevenson men's basketball easily handled Gallaudet University with a 95-44 win on Saturday afternoon. 

15 different Mustangs recorded at least one point in the win and were led by senior guard Davon Jones who tallied a season-high 16 points. 

First Half

Graduate student guard Conner Walsh got on the board first as the Mustangs went on a 15-0 run before the Bison tallied two on free throws. With four minutes remaining, the Gallaudet coach, Kevin Kovacs, was dealt a technical foul. The largest Mustang lead came with a minute remaining as sophomore guard JT Tyson sank two free throws to give his team a 42-11 lead. A three-pointer by Gallaudet's Preston Kelly sent the teams to the locker room with a 44-12 first half score. 

Second Half

As the starters returned to the court to open the half, the Mustangs quickly opened up a 37- point lead 51-14, as graduate student McKale Williams drained a three pointer from the corner. After some back-and-forth action, Stevenson locked down on defense and climbed to a large 54-point lead with 2:20 to go, courtesy of a step back jumper from first-year forward Nick Jones, who then finished the game with a fast break layup for a final score of 95-44.





With the win over Gallaudet, the Mustangs improve to 5-1 overall and next travel to Hood College on Wednesday , November 30 with tip-off scheduled for 6:00 p.m. The Bison fall to 1-4 overall and are set to host Bryn Athyn on Tuesday, November 29 at 5:00 p.m.
