Scouting Stevenson 

  • Stevenson enters the Centennial-MAC Bowl Series as the second seed on the MAC side after a strong 8-2 season.
  • This is Stevenson’s fifth appearance in the Centennial-MAC Bowl with an all-time record of (1-3). 
  • The Mustangs picked up a notable 35-21 win over No. 21 Salisbury in Week 2. In the win, Stevenson held the Eastern Shore rival scoreless in the second half.
  • The Mustangs delivered powerful wins against Misericordia and Alvernia as well as a 28-0 shutout against Wilkes.
  • The Mustangs are riding a 4-game win streak with their last win being a shut out.
  • 14 Mustangs were named All-MAC honorees this week, including Steven Smothers and Sean Sullivan to All-MAC First Team.

Scouting Johns Hopkins

  • Johns Hopkins enters the Centennial-MAC Bowl Series with the number 1 seed on the Centennial side after going (9-1) through the season. 
  • This is Johns Hopkins second appearance in the Bowl with their all-time record in it being (1-0).
  • The Blue Jays had a dominating season with some crushing performances including a 70-0 win against Juniata college as well as a 54-0 win over Moravian University.
  • Their lone loss of the season for JHU came at the hands of Susquehanna, 26-24.
  • With the Blue Jays are 5-0 at home this season and will look to continue this win streak as they host Stevenson on Saturday. 
  • Johns Hopkins landed 16 players on All-Centennial Conference teams and swept the major awards. Luke Schuermann repeated as Defensive Player of the Year, Ryan Stevens was named Offensive Player of the Year and Michael Nwosu picked up Rookie of the Year honors.

  • The Centennial conference currently holds a (10-5) advantage over the MAC in the all-time record of the Bowl series.  
  • This is the third meeting between the programs and second in the Centennial/MAC Bowl series.
  • Johns Hopkins holds the series advantage with a 2-0 margin.
  • The two teams have met once in the regular season and once in the Centennial/MAC Bowl Series.
  • Both previous matchups were held at Mustang Stadium.
  • JHU has outscored Stevenson 104-46 in the series.
