OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Stevenson men's basketball finished on top of the Gettysburg College Bullets, 68-66, on Wednesday evening at the Owings Mills gymnasium. Graduate student guard McKale Williams finished the game with 20 points, scoring just under a third of the Mustangs' total points. Freshman forward Zach Bolgert notched two three-pointers on the match.
For the Bullets, senior guard/forward Elijah Williams and sophomore guard Carl Schaller each scored 21 points.
FIRST HALF
While the Bullets trailed early in the first half, the Mustangs took a multi-point lead with seven minutes remaining. The Bullets kept the game close with a basket by junior guard/ forward Antonello Baggi. With four lead changes in the game, the Mustangs remained on top by two to close the first half.
SECOND HALF
Stevenson mounted a 14-point lead with 9:58 remaining in the second half. The Mustangs hit the 60
th point of the game with 2:13 remaining on the night. Pushing to close the gap, the Bullets trimmed the Mustangs' lead, but ultimately ending the night with the 68-66 loss. The Bullets had 14 turnovers to the Mustangs' 10, and the Mustangs notched 38 rebounds, tying the Bullets. Stevenson led the night in steals, 6-4.
