Haley Palmer tallied many of the teams attempts, with Leakway earning four shots and Palmer with five.
The Mustangs' first two goals were just over four minutes apart in the first quarter. The second goal came from Palmer with assistance from Leakway. Junior attack
Emma Gladstein made offensive dashes to get herself on the board with attempts less than a minute from each other. Both were saved by Gopher first-year goalkeeper Carla Caballero. The Mustangs solidified their lead in the second quarter with a goal from Gladstein.

The Mustangs improve to 7-10 overall while the Gophers fall to 2-12 overall. The Mustangs look forward to their last regular-season match on the road against York College of Pennsylvania on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 6 p.m.
