OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Stevenson football team (6-2, 4-2 MAC) defeated FDU-Florham (4-3, 2-3 MAC) 20-7 Saturday afternoon at Mustang Stadium on Homecoming.
Brandon Booze tallied a career-high 113 yards on four receptions including a 40-yard touchdown while
Emmanuel Ekop, Jr. notched seven receptions for 69 yards.
Ryan Sedgwick finished with 298 passing yards and two touchdowns through the air and another on the ground while completing 20 passes to seven different receivers.
Elijah Marquez led the ground attack with 16 carries for 34 yards.
How it Happened
- Stevenson scored on the first drive of the game when Ryan Sedgwick found Tylor Blake in the endzone for an eight-yard touchdown pass. The score capped a five-play 65-yard drive featuring a 47-yard pass to Amir Moore to set up the touchdown.
- The Mustangs allowed only 15 yards offense over the next three Devil possessions and forced three punts.
- Stevenson crafted a lengthy 12-play, 91-yard drive capped by a two-yard touchdown run from Ryan Sedgwick for a 13-0 lead.
- Stevenson forced a punt to gain possession in the final minute of the half. With the ball on the FDU 34, the Mustangs made four attempts to the endzone in the final 25 seconds of the half, unable to convert a score.
- The Mustangs added their final touchdown on a 40-yard catch and run connection from Ryan Sedgwick to Brandon Booze.
- FDU spoiled the shutout with a seven-play, 69-yard drive capped by a 23-yard touchdown pass from Ryon Thomas to Connor Perez.

- Clarence Travis led the defensive effort with nine total tackles.
- Corey Jones-Pentz added another interception and leads the team with three on the season.
