Box Score BROCKPORT, N.Y. -- The floodgates opened for SUNY Brockport near the end of the second period in a 5-1 victory against the Stevenson men's hockey team on Saturday afternoon.
Scoring three goals in a 2:42 span during the second, SUNY Brockport (9-5) pulled away after 40 minutes. Despite the score, Stevenson (9-4-1) kept pace with the Golden Eagles in shots with the hosts posting a 42-36 advantage.
Marko Sturma saw his first action of the season in a relief capacity, entering the game late into the second period. Blake Colman found the back of the net in the third off a slap shot from the point.
- Stevenson posted a pair of early chances with shots from Luke Benitez and Mac Lowry, both saved by Brockport goalie Aidan Curry.
- With the man-advantage, Ryan Patrick and Lowry both had chances for the Mustangs as the game remained scoreless.
