No. 11 Mustangs Down Lebanon Valley, 17-5, For Third Straight Win

ANNVILLE, Pa. - Stevenson men's lacrosse senior Jacob Tatum recorded seven points to lead seven different goal scorers as the 11th-ranked Mustangs downed Lebanon Valley, 17-5, in a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth contest Wednesday afternoon at Arnold Field.

  • The Mustangs (3-0, 1-0 MAC Commonwealth) need just 34 seconds to find the back of the net as junior Cam Leydig got the visitors on the board.
  • After three straight saves by Dutchmen goal keeper Nick Serrano, junior Connor Nelson broke through with 8:36 remaining, scoring his first goal of the day.
  • Stevenson scored four goals in the final 3:13 of the quarter, including a score in the last second.
  • Lebanon Valley (4-3, 1-2 MAC Commonwealth) got on the board with 21 seconds remaining before senior Jacob Doster found Tatum right before the horn.

  • Junior Shane Ford scored just 12 seconds into the quarter to give the Mustangs a 7-1 lead.
  • Ford nearly completed the hat trick at the 11:36 mark as his shot hit off the crossbar.
  • Tatum and Ford connected for the senior's second goal of the day before Tatum recorded a first half hat trick with 5:32 remaining.

  • Senior Lewis Anania found the back of the net, scoring unassisted just 38 seconds into the final quarter.

  • Stevenson outshot Lebanon Valley, 51-34, while winning 21 of the 25 face-offs.
