FREDERICK, Md. - Highlighted by a career-best seven ground balls and five caused turnovers by senior Matt Wilson, the 8th-ranked Stevenson men's lacrosse team finished the regular season unbeaten as the Mustangs posted a 16-7 MAC Commonwealth victory over Hood Tuesday evening at Thomas Athletic Field.

• On the Blazers (4-4, 3-3 MAC Commonwealth) first offensive possession, the hosts drew a penalty flag after a pushing call against Stevenson.
• Hood needed just 13 seconds before team leading scorer, Bentley LeBarron, gave the Blazers an early one-goal lead.
• After four turnovers, the Mustangs (7-0, 5-0 MAC Commonwealth) got on the board with an unassisted tally from junior Ryan Coleman.
• With 53 seconds left in the opening quarter, junior Connor Nelson gave this visitors a 2-1 lead.

• Junior Cam Leydig found the back of the net just 38 seconds into the quarter before senior Lewis Anania scored after a failed clear by the Blazers.
• At the 10:41 mark, Tatum netted his first goal of the night before scoring again just 21 seconds later.
• Tatum and John Harrington scored back-to-back less than a minute apart before Nelson scored on the Mustangs first man-up opportunity.
• After Tatum scored his second goal of the night, Hood stopped Stevenson's 10-0 run with 1:02 remaining.
• With just five seconds left, Tatum recorded his fifth goal of the quarter for an 11-2 halftime lead.

• Leydig and Nelson scored their second and third goals of the night, respectively, in the quarter while junior Josh Brannan got on the scoresheet with a goal.
• Sophomore Dillon Linhardt also picked up a point with an assist.
• Hood scored twice as the two teams alternated scores in the quarter.

• Colby Gallagher scored back-to-back goals for the Blazers in the opening 1:25 of the quarter to make the score, 14-6.
• Leydig got the Mustangs on the board in the quarter before sophomore Girffin Gast netted his first career goal on an assist from senior Jay Minor.

• Stevenson outshot Hood, 45-32, and held a 32-29 edge in ground balls.
• The Mustangs were 1-for-2 on the man-up while the Blazers finished 2-for-3.
• Both teams won 12 face-offs.
• With the win, Stevenson earns the No. 1 seed in the upcoming MAC Commonwealth playoffs and earns a first round bye.
• The Mustangs finish their eighth straight undefeated season in the MAC Commonwealth since joining the league in 2013.
• Stevenson improves to 14-0 all-time versus Hood, outscoring the Blazers, 308-59.
• Tatum finished with five goals to extend his impressive point streak to 41 while recording his 16th career game and fifth this season with at leas three goals.
