Box Score 2 OWINGS MILLS, Md. - The Stevenson softball team split a pair against York (Pa.) on Friday afternoon at Weinberg-Fine Stadium. The Mustangs fell in game one, 8-0, and came back strong in game two to defeat the Spartans, 9-3.
- WP: Taylor Lindsay (5-0); LP: Morghan Fulton (4-3).
- At the top of the first inning, York (Pa.) (8-2, 8-2 MACC) Elle Meyer scored a run after stealing second and third and then scored on a Mustang throwing error. Later, Daphney Adams doubled to the left field for Alyssa Harhigh to score, 2-0.
- Stevenson (11-5, 7-3 MACC) had two hits at the bottom of the third inning, when Fulton singled to third base and Kat Perea singled down the left line but the Mustangs were unable to score any runs.
- The Spartans had two on bases when Shyla Pastore scored an unearned run when Adams reached first on an error at the top of the fifth inning.
- York (Pa.) extended their lead by five when Harhigh was on third and scored on a throwing error and later Adams scored when Kaela Fritz grounded out to second base, 5-0.
- The Spartans scored three more runs to close out scoring in the sixth inning with runs from Meyer, Pastore, and Harhigh.

- At the top of the third inning, Harhigh doubled to left field for Pastore and Meyer to score for the Spartans, 2-0.
- Jordan Fangman cut the lead in the half when Megan Hamp singled to right field at the bottom of the third, 1-2.
- The Mustangs scored eight runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. Beginning with Morgan Thayer scoring on a Fangman bunt.
- Later, with bases loaded, Fullton singled to the right field to send in Maddie Bosley for a run.
- Kat Perea and Hamp both scored on a passed ball, 8-2.
- Closing out the fourth inning to extend the Mustangs lead by seven, 9-2, Thayer scored when Fangman singled to center field.
- The Spartans closed out scoring when Adams reached first on a Mustang fielding error as Harhigh was on third to score an unearned run.
- The Mustangs totaled seven RBIs in game two.
- Seven different players scored runs.
- Fangman and Perea each had two RBIs in game two.
- In the pitching circle, Fulton stuck out three batters and Heuer struck out four, each allowed just two walks.
- Four different players stole bases on the afternoon, Kayla Briles and Fulton each had one and Fangman and Stark recorded two each.
- The Mustangs travel to York (Pa.) on Saturday, April 3 for the next two games of the four-game series. Game one is set for 1:00 p.m. and game two is set for 3:00 p.m.
- The Mustangs play league-leading Alvernia next Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11. The Mustangs host the Golden Wolves on Sunday for Senior Day at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
