CHESTER, Pa. - The Stevenson softball team split their Sunday doubleheader with Widener, winning game one, 5-2, before dropping game two, 2-1, on it's final two games of the regular season.
- WP: Morghan Fulton (8-4); LP: Mikayla Fedele (3-1).
- At the top of the first inning, Kayla Briles singled to third base and later stole second, the senior then advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored for Stevenson (18-8, 14-6 MACC).
- Alex DiGrande made it a 2-0 game when Maddie Bosley tripled down the left field line for DiGrande to score in the second inning.
- At the top of the third inning, the Mustangs extended their lead by three, with two outs and Megan Hamp and Marissa Heuer on bases, Sierra Stark doubled to left center for Hamp to score.
- Bosley tripled for the second time of the game before Jordan Fangman flied out to left field for a Bosley run, 4-0.
- Widener (12-14, 8-12 MACC) got one run on the board when Becca Tiley flied out to right field for Lindsey Cooper to score.
- Fangman doubled to left center for Bosley to score at the top of the sixth.
- The Pride capped the game at the bottom of the seventh when Cooper singled to left field and Jalia Lawrence score.
- WP: Jennifer Sieminski (7-4); LP: Marissa Heuer (8-2).
- With one out and Fulton at bat for the Mustangs and Fangman on third, Fulton reached first on a fielder's choice for Fangman to score at the top of the first inning, 1-0.
- Widener took the lead at the bottom of the fifth inning when Carli Benozich homered to left center for her and Becca Buckman to score, 2-1.
- Six different players had hits on today's games.
- Fangman totaled two RBIs on the day, while Stark and Bosley each had one.
- Fangman doubled twice while Stark, Bosley, and Hamp each doubled once. Bosley also had one triple.
- Briles stole one base on the afternoon, stealing 24 bases this season, and eight in the last 12 games.
- Fulton had seven strikeouts in the pitching circle, and allowed just two walks.
- Heuer allowed just five hits and had five strikeouts in the circle and walked just one.
