ASTON, Pa. - Stevenson men's ice hockey first year Mac Lowry recorded two goals and two assists while classmate Evan Beers netted his first career goal as the Mustangs scored three times in the second period en route to a 5-2 United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) victory Wednesday afternoon at IceWorks.

• It took the Mustangs (5-2-0, 2-1-0 UCHC) just 1:10 to find the back of the net as Beers found the back of the net after putting home a rebound in front.
• Beers shot the puck from the point before Lowry had a follow-up attempt with Beers cleaning it up in front.
• Just 36 seconds later, Stevenson went on the power play but was not able to get a shot on net during the man advantage.
• At the 6:10 mark, Nick Prestia tied the game at 1-1, netting his first goal of the season.
• The Valiants (0-2-0, 0-2-0 UCHC) earned their first power play at the 7:24 mark but sophomore Ryan Kenny stopped both shots on net.
• On the Mustangs second play opportunity both first year Blake Colman and senior Houston Wilson recorded shots on net but both were knocked aside.
• After killing off a penalty, Stevenon fired four straight shots, including by sophomore Austin Master that found the back of the net. First year Anthony Starzi and Lowry dished out the helpers.

• The Mustangs went on the penalty kill just one minute into the period but Lowry scored a shorthanded goal on an assist from Starzi to push Stevenson's lead to two.
• Just 2:17 later, Lowry found the back of the net once again as he skated the length of the ice and scored to the upper right corner from the left side.
• At the 6:47 mark and just 13 seconds into the power play, Starzi found the back of the net for the first time in the game getting assists from Master and first year Eric Olson.
• Stevenson had two players in the box for 1:42 but killed off both penalties while Kenny also got some help from the post.
• The Mustangs killed off another penalty in the final five minutes of the period with Kenny stopping the lone shot on net.

• The two teams combined for nine penalties in the final frame.
• Neither team scored on the man advantage but the Valiants found the back of the net at the with 4:59 remaining.

• Stevenson outshot Manhattaville, 38-20, including 13-4 in the first period.
• The Mustangs finished 1-for-5 on the power play and 9-for-9 on the penalty kill.
• With the win, the Mustangs improve to 5-4-0 all-time versus the Valiants, including three straight wins in the series.
• It is the second two-goal game for Lowry, who finished with two goals and two assists.
• Startzi totaled three points on a goal and two assists.
• Kenny finished with 18 saves in net, including 10 saves in the second period.

• Stevenson returns to action on Friday, March 12 when the Mustangs host a UCHC contest versus Neumann beginning at 5:00 p.m.
