WESTMINSTER, Md. - The Stevenson men's tennis team dominated host McDaniel by a 9-0 score at the Warfield Tennis Courts.
In doubles play, senior Andre Sturniolo and Ben Porto picked up their second-straight win in No. 2 by an 8-0 score. Senior Ray McDermott and sophomore Larry Johnson III also picked up an 8-0 win. In No. 3, junior Richie Abruscato and sophomore Lukas Sanidas swept their opponent, 8-0.
McDermott improved his singles record to 6-4 after a 6-0, 6-1 in No. 1, while Sturniolo earned his fourth win of the year in No. 2, 6-0, 6-1.
Porto swept his opponent in No. 3 by a 6-0, 6-0 score. In No. 4, Sanidas cruised to a 6-2, 6-1 victory for his fourth win on the year.
James Waychoff and freshman Chad Smialek won their No. 5 and 6 matches in straight sets.
The Mustangs (2-2) faceoff in a home match against Randolph on Sunday, March 8 at the Greenspring Courts.
