GLENSIDE, Pa. - In a rematch of last season's Middle Atlantic Conference men's volleyball championship match, host Arcadia swept 10th-ranked Stevenson University 3-0 Friday night at Alumni Gymnasium.  Set scores were 25-16, 26-24, 25-19.

• Arcadia (9-7, 1-2 MAC) jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead.
• A kill by Tanner Stauffer got Stevenson (9-5, 1-1) on the board.
• The Mustangs stayed within striking distance, with a kill by Aleks Melbardis making it 14-11.
• Leading 17-13, the Knights rattled off five straight points to take a 22-13 lead following a service ace.
• Another ace by the hosts closed out the set.

• Stevenson scored six of the first nine points of the set, taking a 6-3 lead on a Melbardis kill.
• Arcadia rallied to tie the set 7-7.
• A kill by Logan Smiley, followed by an Arcadia attack error, put the Mustangs back in front.
• The Mustangs took advantage of three straight attack errors by the hosts to go up 13-10.
• Arcadia took a 23-21 lead following a Mustang attack error.
• A kill by Nate Reynolds, a Knight attack error followed by a setting error put Stevenson in front and serving for set point.
• A Mustang service error coming out of a timeout tied the set, and a block and a Stevenson attack error put Arcadia in front 2-0.

• The lead changed hands four times in the first nine points, with Stevenson going up 5-4 on a block by Reynolds and Stauffer.
• Arcadia took the lead for good, 10-9, on a Mustang service error.
• After going down 11-9, the Mustangs cut the lead down to one twice, the second time on a Stauffer kill that made it 13-12.
• The Knights posted three straight points to go up 16-12.
• Stevenson cut the lead to two twice, with a Smiley kill making it 20-18 after a Knight service error.
• Arcadia recorded the next three points to go up 23-18.
• A Smiley kill cut the lead to 23-19, but the Knights registered the final two points to wrap up the match.

• Arcadia hit .344 in the first set and .237 for the match, while Stevenson hit .170.
• Stauffer hit .304 and had a team-high 11 kills to go along with six digs and a block.
• Melbardia checked in with eight kills and seven digs, while Smiley had six kills.
• Reynolds and Kyle Bosko each had two blocks.
• Derek Tangorra had a team-best eight digs.
• Peyton Ranck notched 27 assists.
• The loss was just Stevenson's second in MAC play in the conference's third season.  The Mustangs are 26-2 all-time, with the other loss coming to Arcadia last season.

• Stevenson is idle until Wednesday, March 4, when it travels to Alvernia for a 7 pm MAC contest.
• The Mustangs are back at Owings Mills Gymnasium Friday, March 6, welcoming Cal Lutheran for a 6 pm non-conference match.
