OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Junior Mark Terrell finished with 25 points as the Stevenson men's basketball team held off a second-half surge by Cabrini to post its sixth straight win by a score of 94-79 Tuesday night at Owings Mills Gymnasium.

• Stevenson (6-1) opened a 15-8 lead just under five minutes into the game following a pair of free throws by Montaque Wright.  The early run featured back-to-back three-pointers by Evan Joseph.
• After Cabrini (2-5) cut the lead to 15-13, the Mustangs used a 18-4 run to open a 33-17 lead following a long jumper by Sean Mayberry at the 9:13 mark.
• The hosts took their largest lead, 41-19, with 6:17 left on a Wright three-pointer.
• The Cavaliers utilized a 10-2 run to pull within 14 at the 4:12 mark.
• A 7-0 Mustang spurt capped by a layup by Marlon White, Jr. with 1:22 left before intermission made it 52-31.
• Stevenson went into the locker room ahead 54-36.
• The Mustangs shot 55.3% in the opening 20 minutes and were 6-14 behind the arc.
• The 54 points were the most by the Mustangs in the first half since scoring 56 at Penn State Berks on November 25, 2017.

• Cabrini opened the half on a 12-5 run to cut the lead to 13, 59-46, four minutes in.
• Another 6-0 spurt pulled the Cavaliers within nine, 61-52, with 13:08 to play.
• A 14-4 run capped by two free throws by Anthony Wright-Downing with 7:05 to go pulled Cabrini within one, 69-68.
• On Stevenson's next possession, a three-point play by Johnny Rhodes made it 72-68.  That kicked off a 8-2 Mustang run that put the hosts on top 77-70 with five minutes to go. 
• Terrell converted a conventional three-point play with 2:18 to go to put Stevenson's lead back to 10, 82-72.
• Cabrini cut the lead to eight on its next possession, but a dunk by Terrell with 1:51 remaining made it 84-74, and the Cavaliers got no closer.
• Stevenson closed the game on a 25-11 run over the final seven minutes.

• Stevenson's six-game win streak is its longest since a seven-game run from January 14-February 7, 2015.
• The 6-1 start by the Mustangs is its best since 2013-14 and matches the best in program history.
• The Mustangs shot 49.3% from the floor and 9-24 behind the arc, while Cabrini shot 43.5% overall and just 3-24 behind the arc.
• Cabrini was 16-34 (47.1%) from the free throw line, while Stevenson went 15-23 (65.2%) at the stripe.
• Stevenson outrebounded the Cavaliers 48-42.
• Terrell finished 11-17 from the floor and also grabbed a career-best eight rebounds.
• Mayberry finished with 15 points, seven rebounds and four steals off the bench.
• Wright tallied 12 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals in just 22 minutes after being limited by foul trouble most of the evening.
• Joseph was 3-5 behind the arc and notched 11 points, while White was the fifth Mustang in double figures with 10 points.
• Rhodes added nine points, a career-high seven assists, five rebounds and a pair of steals.
• Wright-Downing led Cabrini with 27 points and 18 rebounds.
• Cabrini finished 25-4 and reached the second round of the NCAA tournament last season.

• Stevenson is home on Saturday, December 8, when it hosts Albright in a 3 pm MAC Commonwealth game at Owings Mills Gymnasium.
