Gieselman's Winning Streak Snapped as Mustang's Fall to Messiah

STEVENSON, Md. - Stevenson men's tennis senior Bryan Gieselman had his five-match winning streak snapped as the host Mustangs fell to MAC Commonwealth opponent Messiah by a 9-0 score. Gieselman fell in his No. 1 singles match in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2. 

Earlier in the day, Gieselman and junior Wornden Ly lost a hard-fought match in No. 1 doubles to Messiah's Tim Dunn and Connor Graybeal, 8-6. The defeat ended a four-match winning streak for the duo.

Ly picked up four games in his No. 2 singles match, but would fall to Graybeal in straight sets, 6-0, 6-4. 

Sophomore Peter Appiah Jr. and junior Mike Richmond fell in their No. 3 doubles match by an 8-3 score. Appiah won three games in his 6-1, 6-2 setback in No. 5 singles.

Stevenson (2-9, 1-1) continues its conference schedule at Albright on Saturday, April 8. The Mustangs' home match that was scheduled for Thursday, April 6 against Elizabethtown has been postponed due to impending rain.
