ANNVILLE, Pa. - The Stevenson men's tennis team fell in its season finale to Lebanon Valley by a 6-3 score at the Shankroff Tennis Center. The loss gives the Mustangs (6-12, 5-2 MAC Commonwealth) the No. 3 seed in the conference semifinals when they face off against second-seeded Lebanon Valley, who will now be hosting the match.
Senior Bryan Gieselman and junior Wornden Ly improved their regular-season record in No. 1 doubles to 13-8 with an 8-5 victory. Gieselman would later pick up a straight-set victory (6-3, 6-3) in No. 1 singles for his eighth win of the season.
The other win for Stevenon came from junior Mike Richmond who won his No. 6 singles match, 7-6, 6-4.
Junior Wornden Ly overcame a one-set deficit in his No. 2 singles match, but would eventually fall in three sets, 6-1, 3-6, 6-4.
Sophomore Douglas Vaughan lost his No. 3 singles match in three sets by a 6-7, 7-5, 6-0 score.
The Mustangs compete next in a re-match against host Lebanon Valley in the MAC Commonwealth Semifinals on Tuesday, May 2.
