Gieselman Wins Fourth Straight in 6-2 Setback to Penn State Harrisburg

STEVENSON, Md. - Stevenson men's tennis senior Bryan Gieselman picked up his fourth-straight victory in No. 1 singles, but the Mustangs (1-8) would fall to non-conference opponent Penn State Harrisburg by a 6-2 score at the Greenspring Tennis Courts.

Gieselman, who improved his singles record to 5-6 on the season, won his match in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2. 

In No. 1 doubles, Gieselman and junior Wornden Ly evened up their record at 6-6 with an impressive 8-2 victory. 

Ly would drop his No. 2 singles match by a 6-3, 7-6 (10-2) score, while sophomore Peter Appiah Jr. fell in his No. 4 singles match, 6-2, 6-3. 

Seniors Kevin Slujtner and Tony Beres picked up three games in their 8-3 setback in No. 3 doubles. 

Stevenson competes next in a road match against non-conference opponent Shenandoah (Va.) on Friday, March 31 at 3:00 pm.
