STEVENSON, Md - Stevenson men's tennis senior Conrad Ellis and junior Troy Derrick won their No. 2 doubles match by an 8-1 score in leading the Mustangs (5-5, 2-0) to an 8-1 victory over Albright at the Greenspring tennis courts. As a doubles team, Ellis and Derrick have won four straight and are now 5-2 on the year.
Derrick swept his opponent in No. 4 singles, 6-0, 6-0, while Ellis won his No. 3 match in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3.
Senior Peter Hoblitzell and junior Bryan Gieselman teamed up in No. 1 doubles to pick up an 8-4 victory. The duo has won four straight matches, and are now 8-2 on the season.
With the win, Hoblitzell now holds the program record for career doubles victories with 37.
Hoblitzell triumphed in his No. 2 singles match in straight sets, 6-1, 7-6, for his third straight win.
Freshman Peter Appiah Jr. and Zach Borgerding took their No. 3 doubles by an 8-3 score.
Borgerding won his No. 5 match in straight sets, while Appiah won a third set tiebreaker to take his No. 6 singles matchup.
The Mustangs compete next in non-conference home match against Southern Virginia on Friday, April 8 at 2:00 pm.
